The easiest way to get to the Neeleshwar Hermitage is to fly to Mumbai and then take a domestic flight from there to Mangalore, which is about two hours drive from the Hermitage. Other airports in Kerala currently served by international air services are Cochin (COK) and Trivandrum (TRV), from where you can journey to Neeelshwar by road or rail (Neeleshwar station is situated about 4 kilometres distant).

The Meenakshi
A beachside restaurant, the Meenakshi, is also available where you can sample fresh fish caught by the long boats that go out each morning. Here you can sit and see the dolphins early in the morning, watch the birds over the small lagoon and be lulled by the sound of the waves lapping at the beach or alternatively spend the evening under the brilliant canopy of stars.
